Sylvain Bruni, S.M. is Principal Human Systems Engineer and Deputy Division Director for Performance Augmentation Systems at Aptima, Inc. His work focuses on developing and deploying human-AI collaborative technologies in defense and healthcare domains. Mr. Bruni is the product manager for MyNICU, a multilingual parent-engagement application to support effective and meaningful interactions between clinical staff and families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, MA). Mr. Bruni is also Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Aptima, with a goal of transitioning two healthcare research applications to commercial markets: a Sidekick™ for remote patient monitoring and a caregiver engagement platform in critical care settings. Mr. Bruni holds an SM in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Diplôme d’Ingénieur from CentraleSupélec (France).
