Melinda Jamil
Biography
Melinda Jamil has 20 years of experience in human factors research and user-centered design. Her work has spanned industries including health technology, in-vehicle transportation safety and aviation. Currently Melinda manages the human factors program at Advocate Health, a large not-for-profit, integrated health system in the US with hospitals across Illinois and Wisconsin. In this role, she works with clinical informaticists, patient safety managers, simulation specialists, and clinical team members to investigate potential system issues and design solutions to improve patient and team members' safety, effectiveness and well-being.
Melinda has a BS with Honors from Cornell University’s Design and Environmental Analysis program with a concentration in Human Factors and Ergonomics, MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Human Factors and Ergonomics Engineering program, from Virginia Tech.
