Dr. Krishnan has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He is an Associate Professor at the Grainger College of Engineering, Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is also the IDEA Course Co-Director of Biomedical and Translational Sciences. His research interests are in MEMS Sensors, Adaptive Structures, Active Wearable Prosthetic and Orthotic Devices, Flexible Pneumatic and Hydraulic Actuators, Soft Robots
