Biography
Naseema B Merchant, MD, FCCP, FACP, FHM is a faculty member in the Section of Pulmonary Medicine and Academic Hospital Medicine at the VA Connecticut Health Care System and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Merchant’s areas of interest include health care quality, patient safety (QI/PS)and medical education. She currently serves as the Physician Champion for High Reliability Organization at VA CT, Site-Director of Internal Medicine Clerkship and Program Director for the Chief Residency Program in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, all at the VA Connecticut. She is a core faculty member in the Yale Traditional Internal Medicine Residency Program and co-directs the Distinction Pathway in QI and Physician Leadership for the Yale Internal Medicine residents. She has presented regionally and nationally in QI /PS and medical education.
