Dr. Kenton Hummel is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the Department of Neurological Sciences. He received his PhD from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln studying Architectural Engineering, specifically focusing on acoustics in the built environment. His research looks to better understand the relationship between complex healthcare soundscapes and occupant outcomes. His work has included novel metric development utilizing machine learning to characterize the acoustic environment and how it relates to patient satisfaction.
