Christine became involved in modern applications of safety science during her career as an ICU and surgical nurse. Having earned her MSN with a focus in Clinical Nurse Leadership from the University of Virginia, she is now a PhD candidate in Cognitive Systems Engineering at The Ohio State University with Dr. Michael F. Rayo. Christine has conducted research in Safety-II, resilience engineering, and human-machine teaming in various domains including healthcare, commercial aviation, and defense infrastructure. Her current work is focused on developing proactive and anticipatory safety monitoring strategies that integrate cognitive interviewing and data analytics.
