Biography
Dr. Kristin Chrouser is an Associate Professor in Urology and the S. Matthew Berge Research Professor at the University of Michigan and the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Her clinical interests include urethral reconstruction as well as urological microsurgery and prosthetics. Her research aims to maximize intraoperative surgical quality and patient safety by optimizing surgeon performance and intraoperative teamwork. In addition to teaching operative urology, she also educates trainees in surgical ergonomics, non-technical skills, and improving workplace wellbeing by utilizing quality improvement techniques. She serves as faculty for post graduate fellowship in patient safety and quality improvement at the VA National Center for Patient Safety (NCPS) and is the High Reliability Organizational (HRO) Clinician Champion at the Ann Arbor VA. She is a graduate of Princeton University (BA), Mayo Medical School (MD) and John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (MPH).
