Dr. Gerardo Prieto-Hurtado is an Honorary past President of the Ciudad Juarez College of Anesthesiology as well as a past Professor of Physiology and Anesthesiology at the University Autonomous of Guadalajara. Moreover, he is the past President of the Mexican Federation of Anesthesiology Colleges (FMCA). Currently, he is the Chair of the FMCA's Patient Safety Task Force and an active Consultive Council of the Federation. He is also a co-editor of the First Mexican Anesthesiology textbook “Anesthesiology from Bases to the Practice”.
