Hamid Norasi is an Assistant Professor of Health Care Systems Engineering at the College of Medicine and Science, and a research associate at Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He received his Ph.D. from the department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Iowa State University in the field of ergonomics and human factors. His research focuses on health care ergonomics including musculoskeletal disorders among surgeons, physical and cognitive workload in the operating room, and developing and evaluating ergonomic interventions in the operating room.
