Neva Manalil, MS is a Human Factors Engineer at Design Science, a consulting firm specializing in optimizing the usability of medical products for clients around the world. At Design Science, Neva conducts human factors research throughout the product development process for a broad range of medical devices and pharmaceutical products. Neva holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and a master’s degree in Health Technology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her prior research included supporting the usability efforts in the development of a wayfinding robot designed to aid those with severe visual impairments and developing virtual and augmented reality simulators as a training tool to support healthcare professionals.
