Juliana Amundson is a Senior Human Factors Specialist on Emergo by UL’s Human Factors Research & Design (HFR&D) team. She has been with the team since 2018. She has experience delivering HFE services to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. As a senior human factors specialist, Juliana has experience executing usability tests from start to finish, including scoping usability tests, developing usability test protocols, managing participant recruitment efforts, moderating usability tests, analyzing data, and writing usability test reports. Furthermore, she helps clients develop key HFE documents for their design history files, including use-related risk analyses, and advises clients on how to apply HFE during product development to meet regulators' expectations. She holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Wisconsin–Madison.
