Divya Srinivasan
Biography
Divya Srinivasan is the McQueen Quattlebaum Professor of Industrial Engineering, with a joint appointment in Bioengineering, at Clemson University, South Carolina. She received her B.S. (2005) in Electrical Engineering from Anna University, India; M.S. (2008) in Industrial and operations Engineering and Biomedical Engineering and her Ph.D. (2010) in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Her primary research expertise is in the areas of motor control and occupational biomechanics, with a focus on assessing and improving human physical performance with broad applications to occupational health and safety. Her recent work has involved evaluation of passive and powered exoskeleton effectiveness in diverse industrial sectors including manufacturing, construction and agriculture, and characterization of human learning and adaptations to exoskeleton use. She is a Principal Investigator on two NSF awards from the FW-HTF program, one from the M3X program, and is a Co-PI on multiple other awards including ones from the Convergence Accelerator and National Robotics Initiative programs.
