Kira Favakeh is a Human Factors Design Engineer at Medtronic working in the Patient Monitoring division on oximetry devices under the Research and Development group. Kira has a background in general engineering, graduating with a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College before starting work at Medtronic. Kira spent her first two and a half years at Medtronic as an R&D Sensor Engineer on the same R&D team she currently works on as an HFE. Having had experience as an R&D engineer prior to working in human factors gives Kira a unique perspective on the cross functional relationship between R&D and Human Factors in the device development process.
