Biography
As a Human Factors researcher, Maya applies user-centered design principles to medical device evaluations. With an academic background in anthropology and cognitive psychology (New College of Florida and Columbia University in New York) as well as clinical medicine (Saint James School of Medicine) she is well equipped to tackle even the most complex projects.

Additionally, Maya’s early career experience in restaurant management makes her an eminently capable project manager. Maya loves to make things simple, and fondly anticipates any opportunity to assemble the intricacies of a study into a cohesive story. She values open communication and empathizing with client priorities, firmly maintaining that each phase of research is well comprehended by everyone involved.

In her free time, Maya enjoys bookbinding, creating CAD models for 3D printing, and painting with watercolors
