Biography
Soyun is currently a master's student in Health Informatics at the Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, and is also a Research Student at the Centre for Digital Therapeutics, Toronto General Hospital Research Institute, Unity Health Network, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Before her master's program, she obtained two bachelor's degrees from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and The Cyber University of Korea in South Korea. She gained practical experience in user experience (UX) research during a year of employment.

Soyun's research work is centered around the intersection of health equity and health informatics. Her research objective is to contribute to underserved populations in both healthcare and information technology domains, with a specific focus on older adults, caregivers, and ethnic patients.

She actively participated in the "Interpreter Utilization Project" at St. Michael Hospital during the spring and summer of 2023. This project aimed to improve the quality of care and health outcomes for patients whose preferred language is not English.
