Biography
Sarah Piperato, Ph.D., is a Human Factors Manager at Core Human Factors, A Rimkus Company. She has over 9 years of experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research within industry, and academia. Sarah holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of South Carolina and a M.S. in Kinesiology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has worked as a human factors consultant for the past 4 years, specializing in medical devices and combination products. Sarah supports large and small medical device and pharmaceutical companies with product portfolios spanning many areas of the healthcare space. Additionally, she has been a member of the Core Institutional Review Board (IRB) for four years and served as the IRB Chair for the past year. Core IRB specializes in reviewing research plans for the ethical treatment of human subjects within behavioral and human factors studies. Core IRB is registered with the Office of Human Research Protection.
