I graduated from UCONN with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering. Since then I have been a Human Factors Design Engineer at Medtronic in the Surgical Business Unit (Formerly Surgical Innovations). I have worked on a couple different products ranging from suture to hand held surgical instruments such as staplers at different points throughout the product lifecycle. While applying the human factors process to these products in the research and development product cycle, I work on ensuring products meet usability standards while identifying potential pain points for users or areas users really enjoy about different devices
