Biography
Colleen Reiner currently serves as the Director of Education & Research Administration at the University of South Florida, Tampa, for the USF Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning & Simulation (CAMLS). Ms. Reiner has over 18 years of experience in the strategic development of sustainable, educational programs and the creation of research-driven, curricular experiences for global audiences. She is knowledgeable about the technical, logistical, and pedagogical requirements of evidence-based learning, and experienced in developing, deploying, and assessing educational materials in online, blended, and face-to-face environments.

In her role as Director, Ms. Reiner provides strategic direction for all educational programs at CAMLS and is responsible for developing the vision and guiding the administrative aspects of CAMLS' simulation-based research program. She collaborates with faculty, internal and external stakeholders, and other institutions to ensure the organization's vision is fulfilled while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements. Prior to joining CAMLS, Ms. Reiner provided operational coordination of instructional design and multimedia technology teams at multiple universities. She has also conducted and applied research into digital asset curation and improving capabilities for media accessibility. She has served as the Instructional Design Project Manager for the University of South Florida, and has overseen the development of instructional multimedia and online courses for their Tampa campus. At the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she collaborated with health professionals and biomedical researchers to produce and deploy original learning objects, university curriculum, and training materials for close to 1 million learners from over 165 countries.

Ms. Reiner received her Master of Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Motion Picture, Television, and Recording Arts from Florida State University’s Film School.
