James Shim graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign majoring in Integrative Biology, with a double minor in Chemistry, and Ecology and Conservation Biology. He currently works in the Aging and Neurocognition Lab under the guidance of Dr. Raksha Mudar. His research interests take shape in the form of research that helps alleviate health inequities throughout the world. He is passionate about human service, supporting community dinners, tutoring young aspiring teens, and raising funds for various projects such as providing medicine to underdeveloped areas. He looks forward to becoming a pediatrician.
