Kimberly Nieves is a Senior User Interface Designer on Emergo by UL’s Human Factors Research & Design (HFR&D) team. She has been with the team since 2018. Kimberly has a background working in graphic design, illustration, fine art, and software design. She has worked in software product development cycle from early research and ideation to design validation, creating interfaces that are both safe and satisfying to use. As part of the Emergo HFR&D team, Kimberly designs user interfaces for mobile apps, Instructions for Use, and animated prototypes. She participated in a certificate program in User Experience Design at Designation and holds a B.F.A. in Art & Design from Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in Illustration.
