Shannon Halgren, PhD, is the president and Sr. Human Factors consultant at Sage Research +
Design. At Sage, Shannon leads a team of Human Factors consultants tasked with helping their
clients improve the user experience and safety of their products and navigate the Human Factors
component of their FDA submissions. She has extensive experience in medical device Human
Factors and has worked with a wide variety of medical devices, user groups, and use environments.
Shannon received her MA and PhD in Experimental Psychology from Rice University in Houston,
Texas where she specialized in Human-Computer Interaction and Human Factors.
