Biography
Dr. Valentina Nino is an assistant professor in the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Kennesaw State University (KSU). She received her Ph.D. in Industrial, Management, and Systems Engineering in 2021 and her Master's in Industrial and Management Engineering in 2017 at Montana State University. She was an associate professor at the University of Tachira (Venezuela) from 2003 to 2015. Her research interests include human factors, ergonomics, cognitive science, optimization, simulation, process improvement, and decision-making models. Her research's overarching goal is to change how healthcare services are delivered by making them more efficient, effective, proactive, and patient-centered.
