Jennifer Herout is the Chief Human Factors Scientist for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Health Informatics (OHI) Human Systems Integration group (HSI). Dr. Herout received her Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Wisconsin in 2008, specializing in human factors engineering. She joined the VA in 2009, as a Human Factors Engineer for the Omaha VA Medical Center and one of the Veterans Engineering Resource Centers. She has also worked in the VA’s Office of Connected Care, doing HFE work throughout her 14 years. Her current work focuses on user experience.
