Ian has over 15 years experience applying HFE to the design of medical devices and combination products. Ian has conducted countless formative and summative evaluations for USA and EU regulatory approval. Ian co-founded Rebus Medical with Chris White in 2018 and has since grown the company to a team of 12 expert consultants. Rebus Medical is an ISO 13485 certified HFE consultancy. Ian has a BSc and MSc in product design, he also has a PHD in the subject area of early stage interactive prototyping for physical and digital products. Ian prides himself on providing commercially grounded human factors expertise, rooted in an applied understanding of the development process and complex regulatory landscapes.
