Nate has worked for Carilion for 8 years, first as an Healthcare Analytics Consultant and Project Manager within Carilion's Accountable Care Strategies team and now as Business Strategy Director for the Center for Simulation, Research and Patient Safety and The Human Factors Center of Excellence. His role is to identify opportunities for Carilion's Human Factors team to fuse their expertise into the workflows and processes of all the system's domains, with the end goal of improving the delivery of care and internal innovation. Additionally, he is responsible for continued development of Carilion's Simulation Lab, and the integration of these groups with Virginia Tech and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine researchers. He holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration and is a certified Project Management Professional.
